Ice climbing in Duved

This is a challenge for those who don’t fear hights. The challenge is to conquer 60 feet of vertical ice, but do not worry, you will be assisted by an experienced guide.

The experience begins on the six-seat chairlift on the way up to the top at 800 meters above sea level. Here you can enjoy beautiful sparkling views of mountains like Snasahagarna and other surrounding peaks. Then it's time for a few minutes of skiing alongside the normal groomed runs. The skiing is beautiful and navigates through a narrow ravine with frozen ice formations and further down through the same forest that protects these ice falls in strong winds and bad weather.

The guide explains the fundamentals of ice climbing. It's about climbing safely, saving your strength and leave smallest possible impact on the beautiful icefall, the experience value of the next group must be respected. A few hours and several attempts later, hopefully, all managed with today's challenge - to climb the 60 foot frozen waterfall with ice ax and crampons.
