Goshawk photography in the Black River Valley

The Northern Goshawk (Accipiter gentilis) is a beautiful raptor with its finely barred, silver-white chest and dark, ash-grey upperparts. It's not a rare bird in Sweden but very shy and difficult to get close to.

Birdsafarisweden has set up carrion, a “Goshawk restaurant” where Goshawks have come to feed for the last winters. Only 20 meters away is a comfortable photo-hide for two persons where you can study, film or photograph the Goshawks. The hide is well insulated and offers excellent photo-opportunities at a very close range.
