Eagle photography in Black River Valley

Birdsafarisweden provides unique birdwatching experiences in Svartådalen, especially for the photo-interested! Get the chance to study, film and photograph both the Golden Eagle (Aquila chrysaetos) and the Sea Eagle (Haliaeetus albicilla) at a very close range.

The eagle-hide is isolated on a mire in Svartådalen where the risk of human interference is minimal. The hide is well-insulated, so while the cold strikes outside, you can sit warm and comfortable indoors and watch the birds. The eagles are fed with game to ensure your pictures looks as natural as possible.

Both the golden eagle and the sea eagle, which was almost extinct in Sweden in the 1970’s, have increased in number thanks to a more sustainable way of thinking. Thanks to eagle preservation and new environmental legislations.
