Bear watching with Wild Nordic
Just 2 hours from Stockholm airport you can experience wild brown bears from Sweden's southernmost hide.
You'll meet up at the Wild Nordics Gallery at around 15.00. A filling snack is served while you go through all the practical information. After a short hike through the woods, your guide will leave you on your own to stay the night in the hide and begin your exciting bear watching.
You are perfectly safe inside the hide but try to be quiet, a bear could pop up at any time and they are very shy and easily scared.
Besides bears, great spotted woodpecker, grey-headed woodpecker, and the jay often turn up. Sometimes a buzzard or goshawk even land or a fox could appear.
The hide has 9 "photo windows" and large bunk beds and a simple toilet. The bears often hover around 20-30 meters from the hide.
The guide picks you up in the morning and you head back to the gallery and your breakfast buffet.
