Experience the highlights of wilderness with Wild Nordic, a company focusing on nature and wildlife. Sara Wennerqvist, founder and owner, is on a quest to get more people to see the beauty of Swedish nature.

Sara has her base in the old forests north of Sandviken, Gästrikland (about 2 hours from Stockholm Airport). The wild watching hide lies in the middle of the old pine forest where there is a good chance to spot wild animals like the Golden eagle and bears. The hide is a small and snug cabin with nine "windows" for cameras. The renovated cabin is perfect for both photographers as well as families.

Ever since she was a child, nature has played a big role in Sara Wennerqvists life. Picking mushrooms and fishing as a child evolved in her adulthood to seasonal work in the Arctic Ocean, and killer whale safari and whale inventory. Since 2012, Sara has been sharing her knowledge and her magical wild watching spot in Gästrikland with her guests at Wild Nordic.

Wild Nordic and Saras determination to inspire more people to see the beauty in natures goes hand in hand with her dedication to wildlife and nature conservation. She educates her guest through a "wildlife school" and during the summers she arranges the "wildlife school" at camps for kids and actively tries to educate the younger generations about animals and nature.
